I love reflections for taking pictures – they always make a picture more intriguing. This time I captured the reflection of the street and the street itself. Which is which?

Did you notice, that they not only offer different perspectives, but also show different parts of the street? Isn’t that also happening when we reflect on something in our thoughts? We pick a certain perspective, also meaning we loose something out. And often this reflected picture is sharper, more nuanced than the reality. And photography is normally just the reflection, it captures the reflected light of part of reality, on film or nowadays on sensors.

Let’s come back to the street in old Rennes and enjoy the journey in the past with the imprint of today’s modern shop window.
