As soon as one leaves the city center chances are high to come across some water, most likely one of the two rivers in Rennes, the Illes and the Vilaine, or one of their branches. Or in this case, the confluence of two branches of the Vilaine, close to the railway station of Rennes.

It is a quiet area with paths or biking trails along the river as well as benches, which invite the visitor to sit down and enjoy the calm and peaceful scene.
