A day in early November, still some sunshine and quite warm – ideal for an excursion outside of Rennes. Get on the Illennoo bus number 7 in Rennes and an hour later you are in Dinan. Though the trip takes only an hour, it feels like to journey back in time for centuries into a small medieval town.

While the center and most of the town is sitting on a plateau above the river Rance, the river port with a string of restaurants on one side and hotels on the other side of the river have there own charm, in particular the old bridge over the Rance.

For the complete tour check out the page for Dinan.
