… and kids were back into the Vilaine with their kayaks and rafts on this sunny afternoon in Cesson-Sévigné, the town east of Rennes. Along the Vilaine and a small lake is a water sports community with many activities.

The group of quite young kids in the featured image were playing with balls for a while – it seemed they had to catch them with their paddle.

A little bit older group was struggling with its raft in the artificial stream from the lake towards one branch of the river. The stream was just too strong for their muscles and probably even grown-up men would struggle to cross the strong wave. Well, I admired the kids, their team spirit and courage – one even had to be rescued out of the water. It was safe, at least too guards were watching, but kids coud manage on their own.
