The advantage of being at Mont Saint-Michel on a sunny winter morning is that one enjoy it twice: the original and its shadow. Standing at the wall of the square in front of the cathedral’s entry one has a spectacular view on the monutain’s shadow silhouette on the ground of the sea.

The change of tides is just spectacular – it seems that the bay is completely void of the sea.

And even through the windows one can still the shadow.
