Paimpont is known for lying within the forest of Broceliande with its myths and stories about king Arthur. Today is a beautiful spring day – ideal for a walk around the small lake of Paimpont. The path along the lake provides great views on the abbey of Paimpont, whose history goes back more than 1000 years.
The lake is not easily accessible as the area around is mainly swamp land. The path is for some parts a wooden trail slightly above the ground and sometimes one has to cross uprooted trees.
And the path has also some further built in challenges with crossing small swampy areas on tree trunks.
To be on the safe side it is advisable to first visit the small grotto with Mary and Jesus and ask for protection.
