Locronan is not only one of the Les plus Beaux villages, the most beautiful villages, in France, but lent its beautiful, laid-back scenery to more than 30 movies.

If you see just one picture of Locronan it is most likely a picture of the church St. Ronan viewed from the street like this:

May certainly is a good time to visit – not yet that touristy and the wisterias can show off in full blossom.

This one seems to have the ambition to embrace the whole building block. It certainly invites the inhabitant to come for a chat on the bench.

And flowers thrive everywhere.

What I also liked are the artisan shops, not the usual souvenirs, but very nice and quite superb pieces. Nearly everybody left the town with at least one bag with gifts.
